Our office has many educational programs to offer to any type of audience! Listed below are some of the opportunities available. Please contact our office for more information.

County Envirothon Competition:
The Envirothon is desinged to give high school students an opportunity to acquire and demonstrate knowledge of environmental resources and their connection to each other and human activity. The students are challenged in the areas of Aquatics, Forestry, Soils, Wildlife and a current enviromental issue. In order to participate, a team must have 3-5 students and an adviser. If your school would like to participate please contact

Congraulations to Team Green Flash from North East High School for placing first in the 2009 Erie County Enirothon and fourth in the Pennsylvania state competition.


Headwaters Park: 
Our office is located at the Natural Resource Center at Headwaters Park. The park is a 75 acre outdoor classroom. There are many opportunities for education both inside and outside. We have programs for pre-school students all the way up to senior citizens. Examples of programs include water quality sampling, nature walks, and Best Management Practices tours.


In-school programs:
We have several lessons presentations that can easily be brought into the school. Topics include, watershed, water quality, agriculture, conservation, environment and economy, and many more!
