Community Learning Garden and Compost Park The Community Learning Garden and Compost Park, funded through the DEP Environmental Education Grant, is open and ready for you to visit! Created in the summer of 2010, the garden boasts a variety of raised garden beds, each demonstrating a different way of raising plants in a manner that suits any grower's interest. Our Compost Park also explores the diverse ways in which anyone can have a compost bin, from apartment dwellers to farmers. ECCD has partnered with Harborcreek School District for the 2011-2012 school year to educate students about gardening and composting. In this way, we hope to help students and visitors make a connection between their farmers and their food!

Our office is located at the Natural Resource Center at Headwaters Park. The park is a 75 acre outdoor classroom. There are many opportunities for education both inside and outside. We have programs for pre-school students all the way up to senior citizens. Examples of programs include water quality sampling, nature walks, and Best Management Practices tours.
