Headwaters NRC Trust hosts the annual Erie County Envirothon at Headwaters Park each May. The Envirothons challenge both high school and middle school students to expand their knowledge on various environmental topics, including Forestry, Wildlife, Aquatics, Soils/Land Use, and a yearly Current Issue. High school and middle school teams compete throughout the morning on these topics, with the winner earning a spot at the state competition.

The Trust provides funding for students to attend the state competition and also works with partners to make sure student teams have the resources they need to excel at every level. The Trust also provides support to area events and activities with regards to conservation and preservation of our natural resources. Support may take the form of offering educational programming, displays, or providing resources. Your support benefits the entire Erie community!
